I thought it might be fun to connect over the source materials a bit and share our favourite characters.
It can be specific to any canon (manga, 90s anime, Crystal, musicals, PGSM etc.) and you're welcome to name one (or more!) for each canon you enjoy, since as we know there are some character changes between mediums haha

I'll start - my absolute favourite character is Minako!
Minako/Sailor Venus was a bit of a nothing character in the 90s anime, at least until later seasons, which is a pity because in the manga and especially Codename: Sailor V she's heaps of fun! Reading the V manga rose her to my #1 😊
What I really like about Minako is how she can be so silly and flippant and shallow, but that's just her having fun and she can be serious when she needs to, and is actually pretty competent!
I think when it comes to her there's a really solid difference between "Minako" and "Sailor Venus", while also having it be rather harmonious by the end, and I love that.
Another favourite I want to talk about quickly is Princess Sailor Moon from the PGSM live action series! PSM is so badass and gives no fucks about anyone other than herself and her love, and I really like that. She's powerful and selfish, and I think it makes her a great player in the series.
Aside from those two, I'll just say I love Usagi and Mamoru :)

I can see the appeal of Minako. I think she earned her bit of fun in the 90s anime lol. Probably having more people to help fight the fight was a big weight off her shoulders(I’m assuming cause I haven’t read the Sailor V manga). I like how they all can pretty much go from serious sailor soldier to fun loving teenagers and doesn’t let the hard stuff hit their personal life-until it kind of intertwines at times. I loved the silly moments in the 90s anime. It was a good break from the serious. I really need to rewatch the series cause I honestly don’t remember much beyond the first season and the movies. I use to really like Usagi but getting older I lean more towards Mars and Pluto. Mars is hot headed but responsible and trustworthy and strongwilled. Great qualities. Pluto, I really love her colors and the more mature and melancholy vibe she gives off. Like, she has seen some stuff and it has wore her down but still she fights. And I guess third favorite would be Neptune cause of her confidence and little bit of pettiness. |

Ahaha she grates on me personally, at least in the anime, but fair enough ^^
