Having spent most of her life training to fight, specialising in boxing, she is infinitely more confident on the battlefield than off it. That said, her academic studies were not lacking, and while she may not talk much, she has worked hard to learn an array of languages to help her communicate with her fellow Zodiac Senshi. Powers Extension: Elena can make the jewels in her arm tattoos send light to each other across the split, which can be used to temporarily blind an opponent if timed right. Powers: Lightning Strength: Can do a lot of damage with a chance to temporarily paralyze opponents if it hits. Limitation: Can be hard to aim without her spear, and requires a long recharge if she uses too much power. Abilities: - Passive Ability: Lightning Resistance Only takes 40% damage from lightning attacks. Drops to 20% if wearing her helmet. - Active Ability: Twin's Light A more intense version of her civilian power, a stream of lightning runs through the air between her forearms tattoos, anchored to the gems. It can temporarily blind an opponent for a few seconds, and can provide a shock if touched. Only effective in very close combat, but can be used multiple times and uses little energy. - Ultimate Attack: Gemini Crash Lightning is called down from the sky through her spear, and can be directed through it to strike her opponent. Can only be used once per transformation as it wiped out her power reserves. Does immense damage, though it drops according to how much power she has already spent in a scene. Very hard to aim, with her spear it has a 90% hit rate against a still opponent, 70% against a moving one. Without her spear to aim, it has a 50% hit rate against a still opponent and 30% against a moving one. Backstory: As the heir to the starseed of Gemini, Elena was trained by her mother in the art of battle, with a particular lean towards boxing due to Elena's enjoyment of it. Her training was strict and thorough, but her parents were very supportive and Elena was happy. While her focus was on physical education, she did not neglect academics, and worked hard to learn several languages so as to ensure she could always communicate with her fellow Zodiac Senshi. As per the requirements of her society, and her own wishes, she has spent two years in the Romulan military, and remains as a member of the Army Reserves while serving the Council of Stars as Sailor Gemini. Due to their similar ages and temperaments, she has become friends with Sailor Leo, and supports the Council in their order for the apprehension of Sailor Ophiucus, believing a fair trial is required. Awakening: Elena's awakening was not induced by an attack, but instead happened during a training session when she was throwing her all into achieving a new PB on a circuit. As she reached into herself for the remains of her emerged for a final push, she found a source of power she had always known was there but had never been able to access before. Her parents had looked on in surprise when Elena stopped moving and raised her arm in the air, whereupon it quickly turned to excitement as she called out her transformation phrase, transforming for the first time into Sailor Gemini. |
