Her visions allowed her to know things to come so worrying was a rare occurrence. Having a loving and supportive family also contributed to her confidence. Excelling in her Senshi training and developing her powers, Cassandra had become a little over confident and defiant when criticized. Despite her self-assurance, Cassandra had few friends with the exception of Coronis and Icarus. She wasn’t lonely though. Cassandra found solace in her solitary life. It wasn’t until Apollo showed up and shook things up that she really began to feel the sting of isolation. Her former poise cracked under the pressure of backs being turned on her and finally shattering from the moon kingdom’s disbelief in her warnings. Being reborn on Earth, Cassandra was a timid and anxious little thing. From a young age she had strange visions, pieces, of the future and often not believed when she would tell someone. She learned to keep her visions, among other things, a secret. Contrary to her previous life, Cassandra now had no friends and relies on her Earth parents regarding life answers. She is often viewed as a rug people can walk over. When awakening as a Senshi, Cassandra takes a while before gaining any sense of confidence back. Phoebe, being the original Sailor Sibyl, passed down her duties as a Senshi to her daughter when she turned 16 and sent her to the center planet of the Cyclades system, Delos, to be trained. After five years of training under Sailor Delos/Pythia, along with the other Senshi of the Cyclades system, Sailor Sibyl/Cassandra noticed a change in Sailor Delos. Pythia would stop training the Senshi altogether and a new face emerged to take charge, Apollo. Apollo is a seemingly charming and charismatic young man that Pythia gave her blessings to take over her duties while she withdrew to the Delphi Temple to meditate and strengthen her prophetic visions. While the other Senshi embraces the infectious Apollo, Sibyl was wary. Sailor Sibyl’s animal guardian, Coronis, seemed especially skeptic of him but couldn’t explain why. One night, Cassandra had a prophetic dream of Sailor Delos/Pythia. After climbing the steep stairs, Sailor Sibyl pushes back the thick curtains of the Delphi Temple and she sees Pythia surrounded by perfumed smoke and her eyes were white. Pythia reached an arm out to Sibyl touching her tiara and visions of past and future flooded the dream. The last vision was of her parent’s faces but it was cut short by a pair of cat eyes and Cassandra woke in a cold sweat. Sailor Sibyl went to the Delphi Temple to see for herself Sailor Delos’s condition but Apollo stopped her. In an attempt to divert her attention from the truth, Apollo tried to dis genuinely court Sibyl. Sibyl was unfazed by his advances though. She told him she knew who he really was and where he came from. Sailor Sibyl summoned The Sortis Glass threatening to expose him to the other Senshi. Apollo enraged, brandished his Lucidus Bow and loosed an arrow towards Sibyl. She raised her magical item just in time as a shield but it pierced The Sortis Glass, cracking it. Not knowing how the crack would affect her powers, Sailor Sibyl attempted to show the other Cyclades Senshi the truth with projected images but the visions were distorted and the Senshi didn’t believe her. They were loyal to Apollo. Exiled from Delos, Sailor Sibyl was sent back to her home planet where she found it in ruins and her parents no where to be found. Coronis tried to console the despairing Sailor Sibyl but a new vision of doom interrupted her moment of grief. Far away, the great Silver Millennium was in danger of terrible destruction. Aware she might be met with the same sentiments as the Cyclades Senshi, Sailor Sibyl knew she would have to try to warn them. Then she would attempt to find her parents and save Sailor Delos and the Cyclades Senshi from Apollo. Upon landing on the moon, Sibyl’s presence was met with hostility as word of her crazed prophecies had reached beyond the Aegean Sea Galaxy. Imprisoned, Sailor Sibyl screamed out the warnings in frustration. After Queen Baryl reigned down the demise of the Silver Millennium Sailor Sibyl warned of, Queen Serenity felt guilt for having not believed the young Senshi and used her power to send her along with Princess Serenity and the other Senshi to be reborn on Earth. Awakening: -After Stars Season- Even though Cassandra was sent to be reborn on Earth the same time as the moon princess and Sol Senshi, she wasn’t awakened as a Senshi until much later as she was sent to a different location on Earth. Cassandra was born to a kind couple in St Bernard Parish, Louisiana. The town was small and not much happened there so she lead a mostly quiet life. Unfortunately, the quiet was almost deafening to Cassandra. Due to having troubling visions of the future and not being believed to the point of being perceived as a weird kid, the poor girl grew up very lonely. After finally moving out of her parents’ home, Cassandra started having disturbing nightmares of a past life with fragmented visions of a dark future mixed in. The nightmares continued nightly until a white crow appeared in her dreams. The crow said her name was Coronis and that Cassandra was once a priestess on the planet Delos. The white bird told her that her comrades have been held captive for a very long time and they needed her help to be freed. Upon waking from the dream, Cassandra found a lovely alexandrite brooch resting on her chest. Something felt very familiar about this trinket as she looked it over. Words came to her mind and she said aloud, “Sibyl Oraclum, Make-Up!” A teal light washed over her and as it ebbed, she could feel a power down through her and she was now in a different attire and no longer in need of eyewear. |
