A Sailor Sibyl Fanfiction
A Sailor Sibyl Fanfiction
Part 1:
Cassandra had just finished up her prayers to the Delos deity, Delphi before heading to the courtyard and transforming into Sailor Sibyl for Senshi training. The other Cyclades Senshi had already gathered and they all stood at attention for Sailor Delos’ opening statement. Sibyl took her place and waited with the others.
The time ticked by and the Senshi began to question where Delos was. It was unlike their leader and trainer to be late. Sibyl looked to Sailor Riniea, a young Senshi who stood beside her. “Do you think something’s wrong?” the pretty girl asked with worry. Sailor Sibyl didn’t want to lie but she honestly didn’t know and that bothered her greatly.
Sibyl’s powers are prophetic visions and she’d had none of this moment or what follows. She tried to calm Sailor Riniea’s worries while her own mind swam with them. “Don’t worry. I’m sure everything is fine,” she said with a small smile.
After a good thirty minutes, Sailor Delos finally made her appearance but she was accompanied by an unknown male figure. Under usual circumstances the Senshi would be confused and suspicious but this was not the case. The chatter before switched from panic for Sailor Delos to enamor for the beautiful, shining stranger beside her.
Sailor Delos hushed the Senshi lifting a hand, “Cyclades soldiers, I apologize for the confusion and my tardiness. An honored guest has graced us with his presence and I’ve been seeing to his arrival. I know this is unexpected and unorthodox but Apollo is a very talented individual. I will be handing over my duties as your trainer over to his capable hands and will be furthering my training in the Temple of Delphi.” The Senshi were silent until Sailor Delos and Apollo stepped off the marble platform and entered the group to introduce their new trainer.
Sailor Sibyl had noted that Delos said ‘unexpected’. It was very unlikely that Sailor Delos, who also had prophetic visions, would not see this coming and would not prepare her pupils for such a change. Immediately, Sibyl became suspicious of Apollo while the rest of the Senshi were feasting upon his glorious appearance and the honey coated words he spoke.
Sailor Sibyl tapped Delos on the shoulder and asked if she could have a word. Sailor Delos nodded but remained beside Apollo, who noticed the Senshi was not among the other admirers. “Hello lovely,” he said in a melodic voice turning to Sibyl and taking her hand. Sibyl slid her hand away and nodded to the man and looked to Delos again. There was something off with the way Delos seemed to look right through Sibyl. Something wasn’t right.

Part 2:
After the excitable advent of Apollo waned, Sailor Sibyl detransformed and went back to her den to unwind. Coronis was in a windowsill peeking through the blue curtains when Cassandra walked in. “Did you miss me?” She asked the white raven.
Coronis moved from the window to Cassandra’s shoulder disregarding her senshi’s question and asked her own, “What was all the commotion about earlier? All of Delos seemed to be in an uproar.”
Cassandra removed Coronis from her perch and set her on a table. “...Pythia was late for training,” she answered the nervous bird.
“Is that all?”
“No...when she did appear..she had a man with her.”
“A man..?”
“Yes..his name is Apollo. Apparently, he’ll be taking over Pythia’s training duties over us,” Cassandra said with slight disdain.
“Apollo....I..I’m unsure why but..that name seems so familiar..”
Cassandra looked to her feathered companion and noticed a strange apprehension in her eyes.

The next few weeks of training under Apollo were daunting for Sibyl. It seemed as though Apollo singled her out with a much more rigorous regime and the numerous times attempted to speak with or even see Sailor Delos had been thwarted. Adding insult to injury, her visionary powers seemed to be especially off as she’d had none of her prophetic dreams of late.
Cassandra knocked of training early and went home exhausted and frustrated. Laying on her small but comfortable cot, she plunged into a deep slumber. For a long while her consciousness was nothing but a dark void until it seemed as though she had awakened but felt nothing. She moved but not of her own free will.
The dream pulled her away from her bungalow and through the streets of Delos until she was before the the thick drapes of the Temple of Delphi.
Slowly, the red drapes pulled apart and fell behind her. White eyes shown in the dark and began to illuminate the room. The eyes belonged to Pythia. She sat in a suspended cauldron with perfumed smoke billowing around her. The entranced woman extended her hand out until it touched Cassandra’s forehead.
Waves of visions flickered through her mind’s eye showing the truth behind Apollo. The last visions were cut short by steely yellow cat eyes and the faces of her parents in pain.
Cassandra woke up in a cold sweat eager to see for her self the condition of Pythia.
