She’s well liked by her peers and always tries her best to please people. Akina has an affinity for tennis and can often be seen on the courts, however by herself (though that doesn’t mean she won’t accept a friendly match). Akina is often quite lonely and unsure of herself. She uses what alone time she has to think and reflect. Akina has a hard time talking to others with honesty and she often writes down her thoughts in a pocket journal. She’s very self conscious of herself and is scared that she’s either too much or not enough. Akina is very self-sufficient. She’ll cook dinner, clean house, and do whatever she needs to. This is due in part to her father being the only other person in the apartment. He’s usually very busy since he’s often working part-time jobs. Her reliability makes her popular amongst friends, and they often rely on her for other things. Akina will sometimes take on more than she can chew, and it can overwhelm her. She has trouble saying no and doesn't want to start any issues. Backstory: It's the 1980s. Satoshi Kanzaki is a radio personality straight out of college. He enjoys his job, but often feels like he's missing out on something. Eventually, he gets together with some old buddies to start a band. While they're relatively unknown, the amount of gigs they get start giving them a boost. Soon, Satoshi's band gets roadies and a stage crew, and they become well known. That's when he meets roadie Kiyoe and her friends. Satoshi and Kiyoe fall madly in love, and it affects the band's development. They split sometime later after mutual disagreements, and he moves in - and eventually marries - Kiyoe. Upon finding out that she was pregnant, Kiyoe Kanzaki divorces husband Satoshi, leaving him a single dad. He had a hard time raising his daughter, and often thought of giving her to someone who could raise her better. Despite this, he raised Akina the best he could, and as she got older she was able to help him around the house and become self-sufficient. It was later in middle school when Akina started noticing she can see people's auras. Akina also felt an affinity for the dead, as she could see spirits as well. It never affected her, and while skeptical, her father never talked down to her. He'd often give offerings to any spirits following Akina's footsteps, though he could never see them himself. Akina would then tell him that the spirits thanked him. Conversely, Akina's friends would ask about her aura abilities, and often Akina would use them for fortune telling - though she never really cared much, she wanted to see her friends happy. People often told her to become a shrine maiden, but Akina would turn them down - because then, she could never pursue her true passion - tennis. The girl was very content with her strange life, and didn't care much what people said about her. When high school began, a colleague suggested that Satoshi should adopt a cat to keep him company while Akina was away more often. He agreed, and adopted a Maine Coon cat named King. Satoshi thought the crescent-shaped bald spot on the cat's head was strange, but King immediately gained an affection for the man and his daughter. However, Akina started slowly noticing strange patterns about the cat - how he'd sometimes sneak off, even though the rescue said he was an indoor cat - the white aura, a rare trait - and how that, sometimes, she'd hear him talk behind doors. Now, Akina could hear spirits, but they often spoke softly and, well...otherworldly. This voice did not have these traits. Her father also had a deeper voice than what she could hear. Despite this, Akina shrugged off the coincidences. That was, until, her school was attacked by an odd monster. King had followed her to school that day, unwilling to let her go alone. Upon noticing the monster attack, he jumps into Akina's arms, and gives her the Ribbon Pact, and started to speak to her face. It was protected by four Guardians - Saffar, Epsillon, Aeger, and Theta. They were close, tight-knit friends. One day, Sailor Aeger- guardian of protection - stood upon the gate to the Exo System. Sailor Saffar - guardian of ambition - swiveled around in her parlament chair. Sailor Epsillon - guardian of temperance - sharpened weapons in the battalion. It was a boring day, but Princess Theta could feel something off. She felt explosions in the galaxy and heard the cries of the innocent. It was deafening. Immediately, she called her trusted Guardians and looked for distressed signals - it was as if the entire galaxy was under siege. It was the Sailor War. Immediately, Princess Theta called for the evacuations of all citizens. Theta's Guardians split off, and the Princess got to work monitering the situation. She tried tirelessly to contact other Sailor Guardians and the Moon Kingdom to no avail. Feeling hopeless, Theta felt as though the only way to help would be to help her people. But it was too late. Her kingdom was destroyed - but the most baffling thing was that her guardians, her friends stood in front of the chaos. Before she could speak a word, the three remaining Exoans used their combined power and kill her. Seeing this from afar, her guardian King was able to take her Starseed before the others could. He uses this to let Theta reincarnate sometime in the future. Meanwhile, the remaining Guardians start working as mercenaries for Sailor Galaxia. They later die in the war, but Sailor Galaxia uses their Starseeds to make more monsters. |
